Sunflower State Vital Care - Overland Park

Sunflower State Vital Care is an infusion service with locations in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri. This project is their newest location in Overland Park. The goal was to make the space welcoming and comfortable for all of the patients and their guests. For each infusion suite, we did a different "theme" that was easily idetifiable. This location will be serving the greater Kansas City area, so we didn't want to have it be to specific to Overland Park, but rather the entire area. 

Beginning with the reception right when you walk in, we did a comfortable leather sofa comfort and easy cleanability accompanied by two chairs. We also did a fake plant to bring the outside inside because this area doesn't have a window. We also did a nesting coffee table for guests' belongings or  magazines for them to read as they are waiting. The decor in this room is generalized to the state of Kansas with images representing that, maps, and an information blurb with some history of the state itself. In the hallway walking down to the rooms, there are six prints of original patents of several different medical items like and ambulance and syringe. 

Moving onto the infusion suites, the first suite is the "OP Room" which stands for Overland Park. This room features images of Overland Park. With it being the largest suite in this location, we wanted to make this room comfortable for more of a family setting or if someone brings in several guests with them, so rather than chairs, we did a sofa accompanies by chairs. The next suite is the "Kansas City Room". This room features prints of iconic landmarks in Kansas City along with maps of Olathe, Kansas City, and Overland Park. The final infusion suite is the "Union Station Room" based of one of the most noteable landmarks in the area. This room features a photo of Union Station, a watercolor print, and an information page with details on the history of Union Station. 

Each room is furnished with an oversized recliner infusion chair for ultimate comfort, an adjustable remote control lamp so patients are able to adjust the light to be comfortable to their liking, a side table for their personal belongings, and a basket where snacks will be provided.
